●     Four-post lifts: Like the two-post lifts, these ones are also bolted to the floor, thus providing a secure hold on the ground. You can easily drive your car into one, elevating it from four corners.

●     In-ground lifts: Built into the floor, these lifts descend when they are unused. This allows you to maximize your garage space quite nicely.

 

What is the minimum garage height for a parking lift?

The minimum height for a garage lift can actually vary quite well. Some sources claim that typical parking lifts will fit into garages with ceilings as low as 8 feet, depending on the height of the cars. On the other hand, some sources believe that garage lifts will need at least 12 feet in height.

Despite the varying estimates, 12 feet seems like a good height range for you to start with if you’re looking to get a parking lift.
